NSAC 2021 Plansbook
Plans Book for NSAC 2021: Tinder
The client for the 2021 National Student Advertising Competition was Tinder. As a team, We were tasked with creating a 20 page plans book (plus a cover page). This was the biggest group project I have ever worked on, collaborating with over 20 members across 3 academic semesters. I worked primarily as a designer for this plans book, coming up with the overall theme of the document, as well as crafting engaging ways to guide viewers through the book.
My Highlights
Cover Page
Designed by myself, the cover page set the tone for the plans book's theme - A scrapbook like design that embodied Gen Z's fun-loving and carefree personality. The plans book itself was meant to act as a piece of Gen Z.
Bringing the Book to Life
From the cover to the first page, we implemented Gen Z "guides", people who embody the many different personalities within Gen Z. We also bring these guides to life through real photographs, creating a comforting and personalized feel to the plans book.
A Conversation With Tinder
Throughout the book, we play with the concept of "having a conversation with Tinder". As Tinder's own persona is meant to mirror that of Gen Z, we wanted to convey the idea of being more comfortable with Tinder and being able to trust it - after all - it is based off of Gen Z's own personality. If they are trustworthy: so is Tinder.
Tinder Hotspots
Dealing with the concern of safety, I devised a plan to create a "safe space" for Tinder users. Through this, I came up with the idea of "Tinder Hot Spots", which are restaurants and other public facilities that offer safety plans in the case that someone on a date does not feel safe. As simple as sending a text or scanning a code - those who activate the Tinder Hotspot will be escorted to safety- no questions asked.
